Description
A heavy rain falls in diagonal grey streaks over a temple gate with a curved tiled roof, set among dark silhouetted trees. In the foreground, three figures cross a footbridge over blue water: one carries a large black umbrella, another wears a woven straw hat and rain cape, and a third figure in yellow rain gear walks along the bank. The palette is dominated by muted greys and blues, with the white temple wall and pale bridge planks standing out against the darker tones; a red seal mark appears near the upper left. This vertical woodblock print, "Shower at Terashima" by Takahashi Shotei, is undated.
