Description

"Ikkai Sketches" (Ikkai manga, vol. 1, 1866) is a printed sketchbook in the tradition of Hokusai's famous Manga, offering a collection of quick drawings across diverse subjects—figures, animals, plants, and fantastical beings. The title uses Yoshitoshi's alternate art name "Ikkai," one of several he used during his career.
