Description
A large pale-orange moon glows against a dark grey-blue night sky, framed by tall, wind-swept blades of grass rendered in loose black brushstrokes. Below, a white fox with grey shading crouches at the water's edge, head tilted upward toward the moon, its long tail curling behind it; small purple flowers dot the lower left corner, and a red seal and vertical text cartouche appear in the upper right. Woodblock print, "Musashi Plain Moon," Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, 1891.
