Description
A stylized standing figure fills the right side of the composition, rendered in bold, angular blocks of ochre, muted green, and mauve with heavy black outlines, an oversized almond-shaped eye, and a striped pink-and-white sash. To the left, a small dark horned animal with a red mouth stands on a pale grey ground against patches of white and grey suggesting snow or rock, all set against a solid black background. Pencil annotations in the margin read "-56," the artist's signature, and "37/50"; the print is a 1956 woodblock in ink and color on paper by Umetaro Azechi.
