Description
With a Bird (1958) by Umetaro Azechi depicts a stylized, elongated humanoid figure with a large round head striped in dark blue-gray and gold, flanked by a golden halo-like ring; the face has wide almond eyes, gray-and-black striped cheeks, and a dark red mouth. The dark-outlined body, set against a teal ground with vertical woodgrain texture, holds a white bird-like form with a red-ringed eye against its chest, with two black hand shapes visible at its sides and thin bowed legs below. A small red dot appears near the lower right corner, and the print carries a pencil signature and characters along the bottom margin.
