$500–$5,000. Common landscapes: $500–$1,500. Key value factors: Collaborative prints with Frank Brangwyn are most sought after.
Lake Wannsee, located on the southwestern outskirts of Berlin, is one of Germany's most celebrated bathing lakes, its shores lined with grand villas and its waters historically popular for sailing and recreation. Urushibara's visit to Germany — likely during one of the European tours that accompanied his collaboration with Brangwyn — produced this woodblock view of the Wannsee, translating the specific quality of northern European lakeside light into the Japanese printmaking medium he had mastered.
