Description

*Changing Seasons* (2017), etching and chine collé by Yoshio Imamura, divides its composition into a birch-like tree trunk on the left, a vertical band of silvery checkered squares at center, and dense foliage on the right. The right side combines slender green grasses, small pink/red blossoms, and pale white flowers with dark, near-black leaf clusters rendered in heavy ink; scattered yellow and grey leaf-shaped forms sit near the bottom edge. The palette is muted tan and grey overall, punctuated by the metallic silver squares and small accents of pink, yellow, and white.
