Description
A large dark grey crescent, its curved edge stippled with pale circles and fine linework, arcs across the upper right of the composition to suggest a moon, with thin gold and silver grass blades sweeping up beneath it. Below, dense black-silhouetted foliage and vine leaves cluster around a cluster of small flowers rendered in blue, yellow, purple, and white, interspersed with a butterfly and other insects, all set against a pale beige textured ground with fine vertical striations. A dark rectangular form with white geometric patterning anchors the base of the composition, and the artist's seal and pencil inscription appear beneath the image; this etching, woodblock, and chine collé print by Yoshio Imamura is titled *Autumn Grasses and The Moon*, 2024.
