"Latitude of Time II" continues the series' meditation on temporal and natural phenomena, deepening the visual language introduced in the first work through the same combination of etching, woodblock, collagraph, and metallic leaf. The compositional structure likely shifts in emphasis — perhaps adjusting the balance between rectilinear etched passages and the organic textures produced through collagraph matrix, or redistributing the metallic leaf to alter the print's luminous focal points. Imamura's mixed-media practice layers intaglio precision with the broader tonal character of relief printing, allowing each technique to contribute a distinct spatial plane. The result is a stratified surface that rewards close inspection, the metallic elements catching light in ways that animate the composition differently depending on viewing angle — an effect that reinforces the series' central concern with perception, memory, and the variable quality of experienced time.
Latitude of Time II was created by Yoshio Imamura (今村由男).
Latitude of Time II uses Etching, on mixed media print (etching, woodblock, collagraph, metallic leaf).
Latitude of Time II depicts nature and abstract.
