Description
Autumn has stripped the trees to their essential structure, and they arch over an old bridge in rich copper and crimson in this seasonal landscape by Yuhan Ito. The bridge — possibly a garden crossing or a rural road bridge — serves as the compositional spine of the print, its curving arc connecting the two banks while the autumn foliage creates a canopy of warm color overhead. Ito was drawn to these enclosed autumnal views where the landscape closes in around a simple structure, concentrating the season's color.
