Masurao Soldier of the Earth

A single male figure, rendered in loose black ink washes and calligraphic brush strokes on a plain off-white ground, is shown mid-leap in a basketball dunk with one arm raised overhead gripping the ball. The body and limbs dissolve into sweeping curved lines and splattered ink trails that spiral around the figure, suggesting motion, while the face and muscles are the only tightly rendered details amid the loose brushwork. A red seal and vertical column of characters mark the lower right; the composition is otherwise unbounded, with no background setting.
