Description
*Fusion No. 18* (2010) is a non-representational composition of rectangular and trapezoidal panels in dark blue-black and olive-green, each overlaid with a distinct etched crosshatch or textile-like texture. A small orange-red trapezoid sits just left of center, pierced by a single thin dark stitch or wire that crosses its surface, interrupting the grid of surrounding panels. The piece is signed "Yuko" and dated "2010" in pencil below the image, with the title "Fusion No. 18" inscribed at lower left; Yuko Kimura executed the work in etching and enamel on copper combined with collage.
