Description
A dense, cloud-like mass of dark grey-black pulp spans the lower two-thirds of the sheet, its ragged upper edge dissolving into a plain warm-grey ground scattered with a few small white flecks. Near the center of the dark mass sits a rectangular patch of indigo blue with a fragment of aged, text-bearing paper visible within it, the embedded Edo-period bookpage. The handmade paper's uneven, deckled edges and irregular fiber texture are visible throughout; Yuko Kimura, *Waterscape*, 2011.
