Kozo II

Kozo II (2015) is a three-dimensional sculptural form rather than a flat print: a compact, drum-like cylinder with a frayed, coiled top surface in warm reddish-brown persimmon-dyed fiber, transitioning to a shredded, web-like skirt of indigo-dyed kozo fiber and thread hanging around its base. The photograph shows it centered on a plain dark gray background under soft studio lighting, with loose threads and torn fiber edges visible throughout both the top and lower sections. The overall effect is rough-textured and organic, contrasting the tight, nest-like top with the loosely draped, frayed strands below.
