Description
Standing upright against a black background, this closed handmade-paper book has a textured, crumpled off-white cover with visible fibrous, deckled edges. A rust-brown patch with fine vertical striations shows through the pale paper on the lower right of the cover, fading into grey toward the bottom, while the visible page edges along the right side carry additional pink-red staining. Titled *Sample Book III*, this 2015 work by Yuko Kimura combines etching with indigo and persimmon dye on handmade paper (abaca, cotton, kozo) and old book pages.
