Description
An abstract, non-figurative composition rendered in layered shades of indigo and pale blue against the cream tone of the handmade paper, with a deckled top edge left uneven. Dense fields of fine vertical hatching alternate with mottled, cloud-like washes and small scattered dark marks, creating a loose grid of rectangular blocks interrupted by a horizontal band of unmarked white near the upper third. The overall effect is textured and atmospheric rather than pictorial, signed and dated "2017" in pencil at the lower right; Yuko Kimura's etching and monotype on mulberry paper, titled Ghost Mushikui.
