Yuasa Katsutoshi is a contemporary mokuhanga artist born in Tokyo who studied oil painting at Musashino Art University before discovering woodblock printmaking through artist Ayomi Yoshida. After graduating from the Royal College of Art in London in 2006, he became one of the most ambitious artists working in mokuhanga today, testing the medium with variant print sizes, mixed media, and photography. He serves as Head Office Liaison and MI-LAB Special Advisor for the International Mokuhanga Association.
