$400–$3,000. Common subjects: $400–$1,000. Key value factors: Okuyama's prints are relatively affordable. Bold, well-preserved examples are most valued.
"Yui Satsuta Touge" (Yui-Satta Pass) depicts the historic mountain pass on the Tokaido highway between Yui and Okitsu in Shizuoka Prefecture — one of the most dramatic sections of the ancient road between Edo and Kyoto, where the cliffs of the Satta Peninsula dropped almost directly into Suruga Bay with Mount Fuji visible across the water. The Satta Pass was famously depicted by Hiroshige in his "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" series, and Okuyama's rendering of the same pass invites comparison with this celebrated predecessor while asserting his own personal vision of the historic landscape.
