With only 14 completed designs, all Goyo prints are intrinsically scarce. Non-bijin subjects (landscapes, still life) tend toward the lower end of his market but remain far above typical shin-hanga prices. Christie's estimated his "Mount Ibuki in Snow" at $5,000–$10,000 in early 2026.
A bijin at Nihonbashi — the great bridge at the heart of Edo (Tokyo) from which all distances in Japan were measured — depicted in one of Goyo's evocations of urban Taisho femininity. Nihonbashi carries enormous symbolic weight in Japanese culture as the origin point of the Tokaido highway and the commercial heart of the city, and a beautiful woman posed against this backdrop combines the social world of the modern city with the timeless bijin-ga tradition. The bridge's associations with departure and arrival give the composition an elegiac undertone.
