Description
An atmospheric composition by Ishiwata Koitsu whose title has not been preserved in available documentation. The print represents one of the many works he produced within the shin-hanga system during the interwar years, a period of prolific output for the movement as a whole. The collaborative production process — publisher commissioning designs, professional carvers executing the blocks, specialized printers applying each color in sequence — ensured a consistent level of technical quality across his output, and this untitled print would reflect those production standards.
