Description
Large pine trees with thick, textured brown-gray trunks dominate the foreground, their branches and needles rendered in muted green against a pale pink-and-blue sky. Through the gaps between the trunks, a distant shoreline or low landscape is visible in soft pink and grey tones, suggesting a view from beneath the pines toward open water. No figures appear in the scene; the palette is restrained, dominated by browns, greens, and dusky pinks, giving a quiet, still impression. *Eight Views of Omi: Evening Snow at Hira*, by Ito Shinsui, 1917, color woodblock print.
