A commemorative woodblock print issued for the 4th National Athletic Meeting (第4回国民体育大会), held in 1949. Hasui was commissioned to produce souvenir prints for major postwar institutional events, and this work reflects that patronage role. The title's reference to 田型貼 suggests a multi-panel grid format in which several small compositional vignettes are arranged together on a single sheet. Hasui's contribution to such commemorative editions typically drew on his established landscape vocabulary—atmospheric skies, architectural silhouettes, or water scenes—rather than depicting athletic competition directly. Printed using the full shin-hanga production process with a publisher coordinating the carvers and printers, these editions exhibit the fine bokashi gradations and precise key-block registration characteristic of his mature output.
