Description

Dense clusters of iris blossoms in white, deep crimson, violet, and pink-streaked white fill the composition, their sword-shaped green leaves rising in tight vertical strokes against a plain pale-blue sky. The flowers are rendered close-up with no horizon, figures, or architecture, arranged in overlapping drifts from foreground to top edge. A small red artist's seal sits in the lower right corner.
