Jealousy—1952, edition 128 of 300—is unusual in Saito's output both for its psychological title and its very large edition size. The 300-impression run suggests this was among his most commercially successful early prints, possibly featuring a pair of female figures in some relationship of rivalry or longing. The large run required consistent printing across many sessions, a technical challenge in multi-block color woodblock work; impression 128 falls toward the middle of the edition, where tonal consistency is typically most reliable.
