Kaki no aizu (20)—the twentieth in what appears to have been a numbered series of Aizu prints from 1976—shows Saito in his late sixties still producing new variations on his home landscape. The series number suggests a systematic revisitation of the Aizu theme late in his career, each numbered print offering a slightly different angle, season, or detail of the region's farmhouse landscape. The persimmon reference in the title would add warm orange to the otherwise cool winter palette.
