Description
A stylized, textured composition in mottled grey, black, and white dominates the print, with a narrow band of green marking a distant hill line. On the left, a stone garden path or wall runs vertically past a small stone lantern, its surface patterned with cracked, cobblestone-like shapes; on the right, four bare, dark reddish-brown tree trunks or poles rise vertically against a black sky-like upper field. No human figures appear; the artist's red seal and pencil signature mark the lower left, with the title and edition number inscribed along the bottom margin. Woodblock print on paper, "Katsura Kyoto (L)," Saito Kiyoshi, 1964.
