Snow falls heavily over the Edo River, obscuring the far bank in a white curtain of flakes. Boats are moored along the near shore, their dark forms partially covered with accumulating snow. The scene captures the quiet, muffled quality of a heavy snowfall, with visibility reduced to a few dozen yards and the entire landscape gradually disappearing under white.
