Description
One of the more intimate works in Yuhan Ito's undocumented body of prints, this landscape forgoes the iconic subjects — Fuji, Miyajima, the great pagodas — in favor of something quieter and less immediately identifiable. Without a title to specify the place, the composition speaks instead of a sensibility: the way Ito sees light accumulating in a landscape, the way atmosphere modifies the apparent solidity of trees, water, and architecture. It is a print about looking.
