Description
Yuhan Ito's untitled prints are a testament to the informal, market-oriented nature of some 1930s shin-hanga production, where works were made and sold without the institutional scaffolding of series titles or formal documentation. This print nevertheless embodies the same values as his titled work: careful color registration, atmospheric gradation, and a landscape sensibility shaped by the classical Japanese aesthetic of finding emotional depth in natural and sacred places.
