Description
This untitled landscape carries Yuhan Ito's characteristic atmospheric warmth — a print in which the quality of light matters more than the identity of the depicted place. The shin-hanga tradition placed great emphasis on the emotional register of a landscape, and Ito's most evocative work — documented or undocumented — achieves this by treating light, color, and mist as subjects in themselves. The absence of a title makes this aspect of the work more visible, not less.
