Description
One of several dozen untitled works in Yuhan Ito's documented output, this print captures the quiet of a Japanese landscape rendered in the atmospheric woodblock technique that characterized 1930s shin-hanga production. Ito's approach was consistent across his titled and untitled work alike: a preference for soft, enveloping light; a compositional balance that feels unhurried; and a palette that prioritizes mood over vividness. The absence of a title does nothing to diminish the work's presence.
