Among the last of the untitled prints attributed to Yuhan Ito in this collection, this landscape encapsulates the atmospheric sensibility that defined his approach to the Japanese woodblock print. Whether depicting Fuji above a lake, mist over a temple, or moonlight on the water at Miyajima, Ito brought the same quality of quiet attention to the scene — a willingness to let the landscape speak through light and atmosphere rather than through the assertion of a famous subject. This print, titleless and undocumented, speaks in the same voice.
