Green Wall

A weathered wall fills the composition in two horizontal bands: a mottled teal-blue upper section with a rough, striated rectangular patch at its center, and a cracked off-white lower section below a horizontal divide, both meeting a narrow strip of tan ground at the bottom. A row of small dark rectangular blocks, each streaked with orange-brown, lines the top edge of the print. Hodaka Yoshida's 1992 zinc etching and woodblock print "Green Wall" renders the surface in dense, granular textures with no figures present, using an abstracted, close-up view of the wall itself as the entire subject.
