Description
Hodaka Yoshida's 1954 woodblock print *Konin Buddha* presents two tall, flattened vertical forms against a plain cream ground: at left, a narrow notched slab rendered in mottled gray-brown speckled texture threaded with thin pale striations; at right, a taller composite shape pairing that same speckled texture with a solid black field incised with fine curving and oval lines, capped by a small rounded, head-like projection. A single dark teal-green oval marks the black section, and the sheet is pencil-signed at lower right with an edition number at lower left. The palette stays limited to cream, gray, black, and that one muted green accent, giving the rough-textured, flat-black composition a quiet, still mood.
