Description
This untitled Ishiwata Koitsu print is one of several unidentified works in his known catalog, each representing a specific compositional effort that the records have not preserved in full. The print's existence attests to the volume of his production during the active shin-hanga years and to the care with which he and his publisher approached each new composition, selecting subjects that would reward atmospheric treatment in the collaborative woodblock process.
