Description
A single woman walks through snow beneath a large orange-and-cream paper umbrella, tilting her head down against the cold with one hand raised to her collar. She wears a black kimono patterned with pine boughs and small flowers in green, red, and pale pink, with a red under-layer at the collar and sleeve, and purple-striped geta on her feet. The scene is set against a plain pale ground with drifts of snow at her feet, mounted as a hanging scroll with striped silk borders and a solid orange header.
