A second state or impression of Hasui's [bijin-ga](/glossary/bijin-ga) featuring a woman among blooming azaleas. Multiple surviving impressions of this design suggest it was popular enough to warrant extended print runs, with possible block wear or intentional color adjustments between states affecting the rendering of the kimono pattern and floral background. In bijin-ga convention, the azalea garden setting situates this print in late spring, when tsutsuji are in peak bloom—typically April through May in central Japan. The dense layering of blossoms would require numerous color blocks, with the pink, red, and white azalea petals demanding precise registration across multiple passes. Subtle differences in the background gradation or fabric rendering distinguish this impression from companion states of the same design.
