Kinkaku-ji appears once more in Koichi's catalog, this time identified simply by its formal name and city rather than a seasonal designation. The Golden Pavilion's three-story silhouette, reflected in its garden pond, is one of the most recognizable architectural profiles in Japan. Koichi may have rendered this version without a specific seasonal marker to create a more universal depiction, or the title may simply reflect how the print was cataloged by its seller or institutional holder. The composition almost certainly shows the standard southern approach across the pond, the vantage point from which the gilded facade and its watery double can be seen together. The pavilion's gold surface, rendered through warm pigment layering, provides the tonal center of a composition otherwise defined by water, stone, and vegetation.
