Description
A young woman in profile, her face pale and simplified with a single fine line for a closed or downcast eye, wears her dark hair swept into a rounded chignon marked with one small red disc. She is draped in a pale blue kimono with a soft woodgrain texture over a pink underlayer, set against a black geometric shape suggesting a second garment or obi, all against a gray, wood-grained background. Saito Kiyoshi created this woodblock print, titled Maiko Kyoto (B), in 1959.
