Description
Snow, Aizu (B) is one of the series variants exploring the deep winter of Saito's home region, distinguishing itself from the (A) and other versions through some difference of composition, scale, or colorway. The Aizu snow prints are ultimately about the transformation of a familiar landscape—farmhouses, paddies, pine groves—into pure white geometry, the accumulated snow erasing topography and architectural detail alike, leaving only the essential forms that define each structure against the white ground.
