Description
An untitled woodblock print from Henmi's output — likely drawn from the range of subjects that defined his practice: coastal or mountain landscapes, urban Tokyo scenes, snow studies, or the river and gorge compositions for which he was particularly celebrated. His sosaku-hanga approach meant that every print was conceived, cut, printed, and colored by the artist himself, each work an intimate record of his technical and aesthetic decisions.
