$500–$5,000. Common mountain prints: $500–$1,500. Key value factors: Azechi's cheerful mountain prints have consistent demand. Larger and more complex compositions are most valued.
Repose—a figure at rest, the body released from the sustained effort of climbing or the concentration of mountain navigation—shows Azechi's mountain man in the moment of earned relaxation. The resting climber, whether sitting on a summit rock or lying in the grass at a col, had a different physical quality from the striving climber: the muscles released, the attention diffused, the body's urgent purposefulness dissolved into the simple pleasure of being still at altitude. His bold style captured this quality of released energy.
