Description
Cherry blossoms cloud the foreground of a village scene dominated by Mount Fuji's broad white peak in this spring landscape by Yuhan Ito. The composition compresses three scales — blossoms close and intimate, village middle-distance, mountain immense and remote — into a single frame that gives the print its characteristic depth. Ito uses the blossoms not merely as seasonal decoration but as a foreground screen through which the village and mountain are partially veiled, adding atmosphere and visual complexity.
