Description
A sixth untitled print from Asada Benji, catalogued without title information. The Osaka-based artist worked across the full range of shin-hanga subjects during his long career from the 1920s through the 1970s, and this undated and untitled work may belong to any phase of his development. His mature works from the postwar period tend toward a particular balance of observation and atmospheric idealization — the Kansai landscape seen through a lens that is both naturalistic and quietly poetic.
