Description
A ninth untitled work from Asada Benji, completing a group of undocumented prints from his catalog. The sustained production of prints throughout his eighty-five-year life — born in 1899, active through much of the Showa period — means his catalog encompasses works that reflect Japan's dramatic twentieth-century transformation, from the late Meiji world of his birth through the postwar economic miracle. His untitled prints are the undocumented chapters of that long engagement with the visual landscape of Japan.
