A snow-covered vermillion bridge with wooden railings crosses a dark stream, flanked by tall pines and a bare tree heavily laden with snow beneath a grey-blue sky filled with falling snowflakes. A single figure in a blue coat carrying a pale green umbrella walks across the bridge toward a snow-roofed shrine building visible at right.
