Description
A framed print shows a multi-tiered pagoda in bold black silhouette against a mottled slate-blue sky with a stylized white cloud, its tiled roof edges rendered in graphic black-and-white striped patterns. To the right, a dark sloping temple roof and a lattice-windowed wall frame a small stone lantern in white and gray tones, with patches of deep red-brown visible on the pagoda's lower body. The overall palette is limited to black, white, gray-blue, and rust-red, giving the scene a quiet, graphic stillness; a red seal and brushed signature appear in the lower portion of the composition. *Pagoda, Nara*, Saito Kiyoshi, 1964, color woodblock print.
