Description
A pagoda rendered in Asada Benji's landscape mode — the tapering tower form against sky, perhaps set within a garden or forest that frames its vertical accent. Without specific identification, this pagoda subject could be any of the Kansai region's many historic towers: Kofukuji at Nara, Toji in Kyoto, or Daigoji's famous five-story structure on the city's southeastern edge. The pagoda was a central subject in the shin-hanga landscape tradition for its combination of architectural precision and scenic context.
