Description
A large pale-yellow circular form, its edges broken into rounded, cloud-like lobes, dominates the upper portion of this abstract composition against a black ground. Below and around it, irregular rounded shapes in olive-brown and grey-green interlock across the sheet, punctuated by small scattered patches of bright blue and cobalt near the center and lower edge. The print is signed and dated in pencil beneath the image, with the title "Moon" inscribed at the lower left; this color woodblock print was made by Hodaka Yoshida in 1952.
